She holds a BA in English Communication Arts from Emmanuel College, Boston; a certificate in Communications Media from the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome; and a certificate in writing for children and teenagers from the Institute of Children's Literature in West Redding, Connecticut. She has carried out the evangelization ministry of the Daughters of St. Paul in New York, Missouri, Ohio, and Massachusetts, and served as a children's editor at Pauline Books & Media for thirteen years.
