New American Bible (NABRE)

The Bible is a place of encounter with the living God. When we read Sacred Scripture, we place ourselves in the presence of Christ, the Word of God: the same Word that drives out demons, makes the deaf hear and the mute speak, heals the sick, and raises the dead to life. His Word is power and life. 

The New American Bible (NABRE) is the official English translation of the Bible for the Catholic Church in the United States and in most English-speaking countries. Most versions of the NABRE have substantive footnotes to assist you in understanding the sacred text.
