About the Author:

Haley Stewart is a Catholic convert, speaker, and writer. She sometimes leads pilgrimages and always needs more bookshelves. She is the Editor of Word on Fire Votive, a publishing imprint for young readers, and the host of The Votive Podcast.

Haley is the award-winning author of The Sister Seraphina Mysteries and The Catholic Kids' Cookbook. Her family lived on a farm for a year, and she wrote a book about it (for grown-ups) titled The Grace of Enough: Pursuing Less and Living More in a Throwaway Culture. She is also the author of Jane Austen’s Genius Guide to Life and the editor of Women of the Catholic Imagination. She has contributed to Evangelization & Culture, Plough, Mere Orthodoxy, the University of Notre Dame’s Church Life Journal, Public Discourse, and America.

About the Illustrator:

Betsy Wallin began drawing as a child. While growing up in upstate New York, she would paint giant murals or sketch ruined barns along country roads. She studied Art History in college. But after her MA from U.C. Berkeley, she soon turned to practicing art, specializing in illustration as a young mother in France and later on at Pratt Institute. Betsy currently lives in the Hudson Valley with her husband, Brian, and dog, Molly. She is represented by the Deborah Harris Agency.
