Monsignor J. Brian Bransfield, STD, MDiv, is a priest of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. He served the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) for thirteen years in multiple secretarial capacities, including as Associate General Secretary from 2011-2016 and General Secretary from 2016-2020. Monsignor Bransfield holds a doctorate in moral theology from the Pontifical John Paul II Institute for Studies on Marriage and Family and has served on the faculty of St. Charles Borromeo Seminary in Philadelphia and the Dominican House of Studies in Washington, D.C., as a professor of moral theology. He is the author of several books, including The Human Person according to John Paul II (Pauline Books & Media, 2010) and Living the Beatitudes: A Journey to Life in Christ (Pauline Books & Media, 2011).
