Get to know Saint Bakhita through this interactive color-your-own comic book! Captured and sold into slavery as a young girl in her native Sudan, Bakhita encountered Christianity in Italy when she met the Canossian sisters. After Bakhita won her freedom, she became Catholic and eventually became a Canossian sister herself! This inspirational coloring and activity book, designed by Sister Virginia Helen Richards, FSP, and Sister D. Thomas Halpin, FSP, celebrates Bakhita's story and the powerful lessons she teaches us about human dignity, the virtue of hope, and the promise of God's care for us.
