Rev. Thomas J. Donaghy (1928-2018) was a Christian Brother for 26 years before discerning a call to the priesthood. He was ordained a priest for the Archdiocese of Baltimore in 1979. In addition to parish ministry, he served as Academic Dean of St. Mary's Seminary in Roland Park; Campus Minister of Frostburg University; and was active in vocational and educational ministries. Fr. Donaghy was a prolific writer of children's books including the New Catholic Children's Bible, The Lives of the Saints, My Golden Book of Prayers, and the St. Joseph Pocket Prayer Book.
