Drawing deeply from his pastoral experience and theological training, Msgr. Peter Vaghi takes us to the Upper Room in Jerusalem and describes three historically and spiritually significant evens that transpired in this sacred place. We look at Jesus in the upper room of our own hearts, following the Lord in prayer, worship, and service. As a pilgrimage resource, Lenten meditation, or simple spiritual enrichment, Meeting God in the Upper Room will give you a deeper appreciation of the three events that transpired in the Upper Room the Last Supper, postresurrection appearances, and Pentecost that profoundly shaped the early life of the Church.

'How do I manifest that belief that I am a true disciple of Jesus, that hes risen and walks with me?' With the voice of an experienced and wise preacher and teacher, Monsignor Vaghi helps us answer this question by capturing the lessons of discipleship learned in the school of the Upper Room. We find Jesus and his disciples at prayer, we see Jesus teaching us the nature of self-giving love, we encounter Thomass doubt turned to faith, and we recognize Mary, Mother of God, becoming the Mother of the Church" (From the Forward by Cardinal Donald Wuerl).
