Holy Daring The Fearless Trust Of St Therese Of Lisieux
"The aim of this book is to offer everyone the opportunity to encounter Therese: that we may feel a new current of confidence flooding our prayer, flowing into our relationships, promising to irrigate every area of our Christian experience. If we yield to the impact of this young woman, we may yet find ourselves among the many whose lives she has overtaken and overturneddecisively. If we allow Therese to tutor us in the Gospel, we may rejoice to find ourselves taken into her confidenceliterally. May she partner us in prayer through these pages."
John Udris
A woman of intrepid faith, St. Therese inspired her contemporaries to embrace their littleness and cling to God, intuitively grasping Jesus' exhortation to pray to the Father with "bold confidence." And she invites each of us to this same intimacy; to lean her way of "holy daring."
John Udris is Cathedral Dean of Our Lady & St. Thomas, Northampton, England. He has a License in Spiritual Theology from the Pontifical University of St. Thomas, Rome, where he focused his studies on St. Therese.
"A wonderful work! The authors attractive and scholarly writing distills for us the pure essence of Therese's filial daring. In its account of how she was on terms of holy familiarity with God this book is joyous, impressive, luminous."
Alan Bancroft, Translator of St. Therese's poetry
"Your book has deepened my appreciation of Therese, even though for most of my life I have been reading her, reading and thinking about her, and growing in love for her. I thank you for writing it."
Bishop Patrick V. Ahern, Auxiliary Bishop of New York
